TCO item A.1 · Try a frame
Which level of scientific understanding involves systematic observations that can be quantified and classified?
One path, three steps
Frames are practice, exam rehearsals are the dress rehearsal, and the BCBA exam is the performance.

Practice
Untimed frames with feedback, then the same frames against the clock, until every answer is right and fast.

Rehearse
The whole exam on a screen like the testing center's. The result is a self-evaluation, never a prediction.

Perform
Your results choose what comes next, and retention checks 14 days later confirm it held.

Questions learners ask
How long does it take?
Your study plan spreads every frame set across 16 to 52 weeks and sets a weekly target. The 16-week plan is the intensive one; a longer plan lowers each week's target. The plan adjusts to your progress, and you can move the date.
What is a frame set?
A short set of questions on one part of a TCO item, the lines of the BCBA Test Content Outline. Each question is a frame: recall (a term or fact), example (identify an instance), or analysis (work through a scenario). A frame set is fluent when every frame is correct within its time limit.
Is a rehearsal score a prediction?
No. An exam rehearsal is a self-evaluation under exam conditions. Its score report shows what to study first; it never predicts a BCBA exam result.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Practice, SAFMEDS, and the reports fit a phone's browser. Exam rehearsals are best on a laptop or desktop, since that is what the testing center uses.
Who can see my work?
You, and the coaches of your cohort if your program enrolled you in one. Learners never see one another's names or results, and cohort standing shows only an anonymous list.
Who built FrameRate?
Doctoral-level behavior analysts: university professors who have trained students to become BCBAs for decades. The frames, the exam items, and the study path come from that teaching, written for this platform and not copied from any other prep product.
How do I join?
A program's cohort joins by invitation link or cohort code, with the dates and plan already set. When open sign-up is on, anyone can create an account and set their own plan.
